MAKING THERAPY AFFORDABLE FOR ALL
Wellspring Scotland wants to make therapy affordable for as many people as possible. By offering therapy sessions at an affordable cost and also having the option to reduce the cost for those who are unable to pay the full amount (it costs Wellspring Scotland around £50 to run a therapy session), Wellspring Scotland is helping to ensure that everyone has access to the mental health support they need.
We operate a ‘Pay It Forward’ scheme which encourages those who are in a more financially stable position to contribute more towards their therapy sessions, thus enabling Wellspring Scotland to support those who may not have the means to pay for therapy themselves. This creates a more inclusive and supportive environment for everyone seeking support through therapy.
Pay It Forward Scheme
Acts of kindness, such as ‘paying it forward’ can trigger the release of ‘feel good’ chemicals in our brains, which can make us feel happier.
Compassion can be seen as a muscle that can be strengthened over time. The more we engage in acts of kindness, the easier it becomes to respond to others in a helpful, kind and compassionate way.
Acts of kindness can decrease stress and improve feelings of self-esteem and self-worth. It’s also a good way to get out of your own head ad focus on something positive, which can be very beneficial for our mental health and well-being.
The benefits of ‘paying it forward’ can be experienced immediately. Even small acts of kindness can make us feel better right away. It’s important to remember that we have the power to make a positive impact on ourselves and others through acts of kindness.
