We were established in 1978 and are based in the Leith area of Edinburgh.

Core Process Psychotherapy Skills Development Days: When the negative past floods into present time – How to cope with and work with ‘Trauma Activation’ (16 June 2018)
This workshop (led by John MacFadyen) is open to anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of how mindfulness in relationship can be drawn upon as a profound basis for self development, enquiry into the dynamics of personal/professional relationships, and how this learning can be applied in counselling, psychotherapy and other helping roles within the workplace or community life. BBC Children In Need Grant
Wellspring is delighted to have received a BBC Children In Need Grant. This will enable us to provide Art and Child Psychotherapy, a well as group psychotherapy for children and young people in the Leith community. The service will be offered to those who are affected by war, migration or social and economic deprivation in the Leith area.
We are now welcoming referrals from individuals and from Multi-Cultural Family Base.

Wellspring greatly appreciates a refurbishment grant from the Clothworkers’ Foundation for our Waiting Room and children’s therapy space.
Wellspring’s experienced supervisors offer Clinical Supervision for therapists.
We provide Employee Assistance Programmes for organizations in the public, private and voluntary sectors such as local authorities, social work departments, solicitors and housing associations.
Wellspring has an annual programme of exciting events aimed at the public and counselors and psychotherapists. This includes workshops; courses, talks, and upcoming fundraising events.
