Laila has over 20 years of experience in the field of Psychological Therapies. She trained as a Clinical Psychologist who holds one undergraduate and two postgraduate qualifications in this area. After emigrating and settling in the UK, she was awarded the Diploma in Cognitive Neuropsychology from Edinburgh University.
She is a Chartered Psychologist and an Associate Fellow of the British Psychological Society. She is also a Registered Member of the British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP), as well as a member of Human Development Scotland (HDS).
She has practiced in a variety of settings including Mental Health Services and therefore possesses considerable therapeutic experience with children, young people and adults.
She is skilled in a range of Psychological Approaches including Psychodynamic Models which she uses to help clients experiencing a variety of difficulties including depression and low mood; stress, anxiety, panic attacks, trauma, eating disorders, relationship issues, low self-esteem, grief, and sexual issues.
