The Listening Well. Telling our story
November 2nd 2017 9.30-4.30pm

“I am listening to your marks- and lines-to your paint, your pastels, your clay….”
with Eileen Wilson – BACP,GTC and LCGI accredited; Pauline Colles – BATT& HCPC accredited and Eilidh Gilbertson – BAAT & HCPC accredited.

A workshop suitable for Therapists/Counsellors and those interested in exploring therapeutic work with children and young people in a psychodynamic way.

We will look at our theoretical framework: facilitative ingredients for therapeutic play, case studies and illustrative examples and the role of supervision.

Our purpose is to enable the telling of children and young people’s stories.

We are considerate to their journey, dynamics and environment and the need to tailor interventions, objects and materials to connect with children and young people and facilitate therapeutic change.

9.30am – 10.00am Coffee and registration
An opportunity to view the small exhibition of Children and Young People’s art work

10.00am – 11.00am – Pauline Colles and Eilidh Gilbertson

A case study
Response Images using an I-pad
Shared story of supervision – Supervisee and Supervisor

The Facilitative Ingredients of Therapeutic Play –
. Introduction to Facilitative Ingredients for Exploration and Healing:

illustrated with case studies

2.30 – 3.00pm Coffee

3.00-4.00pm Art – experiential to process day (in three groups)
Make our own exhibition at the end of the day, together, to join the
Children and Young People’s work.

4.00 – 4.30pm
Plenary and discussion and end – (CPD certificates).
