Corinna Tebbutt is an Accredited Counsellor and Psychotherapist, registered with the British Association of Counsellors and Psychotherapists – BACP.
She has been working with Children and Adults for nearly 30 years, first as a Steiner Kindergarten Teacher, and then later as a Counsellor and Psychotherapist.
Her training is Person-centred, but her approach is eclectic. Some people are comfortable using the narrative to enable them to explore and work through the varying issues brought. Others are more comfortable in a more artistic/creative approach. For them, art and space can be used to invite the person to view themselves from different perspectives.
However, what is common with all, is the framework in which the journey takes place. Corinna offers a safe, relational space encompassed by boundary, in which she is mindful and respectful of our differences – be it the pace we are able to work and/or the depth we are ready to go.
A common quote over the years, from many clients, has been ‘There are people with far worse problems than mine‘. This may or may not be the case. But for the individual, they amount to relevance and importance. That is why you have come. There are no grades in therapy. Equal time and space is given to all.
Some of the issues Corinna has worked with are; people experiencing abuse, addiction, anxiety, bereavement, bullying in the work place, loss and trauma, the impact of being on the spectrum and relationship issues. In the first session, you will both have the opportunity to meet and decide whether you feel that she is somebody that you can engage with, and if so would like to join on your journey.
