I work as a Person-Centred Therapist believing that a trusting relationship is the most important factor to enable change. My training is in Person-Centred Counselling and Psychotherapy, as well as in Bereavement Counselling. My experience was initially in Mental Health Services and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy.
I worked for eight years in services for people affected by problem drinking, and as a specialist for people affected by bereavement. More recently, I have worked in different Student Counselling Services, and also currently work part-time at Edinburgh University Student Counselling Services which prohibits me from seeing University clients at Wellspring.
I have also provided Counselling for a local authority whom provide for employers. I have experience of working and living in inner cities and geographically remote islands. I am a relatively new therapist to Wellspring having started in April 2016. I am also an EMDR therapist in training.
